Recently selected Team Europe will face two major changes

31.8. European Championships were held in France last weekend. EC was the last qualification tournament for Team Europe. Total of 215 players took apart of the event after intense four-day-play Sweden´s Jesper Lundmark was crowned Open division Champion. Surprisingly, Sweden´s Birgitta Lagerholm was left second as new star was risen: Camilla Jernberg took Womens division victory by large margin. Both women earned their spot in the team.

Right after the event Team´s Europes captain Hans Tegebäck got bad news: Both Team Europes leading players Lundmark and Markus Källström announced their withdrawal from the event. This means that both Emil Dahlgren and Juho Rantalaiho will raise to the team from reserve spots. Tegebäck has still Captains Choise that he needs to consider with extra carefully. Simon Lizotte (17) and Oscar Stenfeld (16) are young and talented additions to team Europe. Time will show, how they do against the Team USA Disc Golf icons.

Team USA shapes up after dramatic World Championships

1.8.2010. The World Championships in Lemon Lake, Indiana concluded Team USA qualification to Presidents Cup 2010. Before the event, Nikko Locastro, Dave Feldberg and Josh Anthon had a strong grip to the team but two other spots were wide open. Ken The Champ Climo finished 14th in this years Worlds and was enough to secure his spot in Team USA. Paul Ulibarri had early lead and was in his way to the team, but after final nine he had to settle tied 2nd with Feldberg and Anthon. Ulibarri would have needed 2nd place finish alone to get straight into the team. Despite a sudden death loss for finals to Anthon, Nathan Doss had enough points to secure his spot in to the team USA. New Open Division World Champion Eric McCabe did not play well enough in the early season and was left out.

Team Captain David Greenwell has still one spot in his team and this Captains Choice will be made . We will wait with great excitement who David Greenwell will choose to complete his team.

In the Women side Sarah Stanhope beat Des Reading and Valarie Jenkins at Lemon Lake, but that was not enough to get her into the team. So, Team USA will have former World Champions in their line-up.
